Tell somebody you don't like football and see how upset an uncomfortably large number of people get. Normies are so scared of not fitting in 100%, something like not liking a game triggers them.
It seems clearer than ever that 'fitting in' is most people's biggest worry - not their health, not money, not work, not right and wrong, not the future, just what everyone else thinks of them. It's horrifying and pathetic in equal measure.
And now with social media, the audience is much larger. The number of people that can be engaged to shame your nonconformity gets larger and larger.
A good argument for dumping Facebook, for example.
Very true! I kind of wonder whether they tried the same crap with Swine Flu in 2009 but without social media being so prevalent, the fear and virtue signalling didn't spread in quite the same way.
I hate the outdoors. Hiking and camping and shit can fuck off. There's dirt and bugs out there.
I haven't engaged in "sports watching" in decades, with the exception of women's roller derby. I've never had anyone react other than just simple surprise. Dude's that don't watch sports always seem foreign to some people, but my wife sure loves it! lol
I've never had anyone get upset or uncomfortable about it. But I'm in Texas, so maybe we're just more polite here.
I've gotten in confrontations that nearly got violent on a couple occasions. It's bizarre. You're supposed to have this Road To Damascus moment and praise the glory of Football or whatever

Oh yes, but now I can explain that I have an excellent reason for boycotting football games on TV. Why should liberals be the only ones who get to feel self-righteous? Before all the kneeling, it was just weird to say that.
