To be fair -- I did get legitimately irked at the one guy in the airport with his mask down below his nose ONLY BECAUSE he was the only one in the airport coughing.
No problem if you don't have symptoms. Don't even need to wear one at all. It's the only reasons masks would work in the first place, is if you are contagious. You cannot be contagious and have 0 symptoms. The whole "asymptomatic transmission" myth has been debunked.
Got symptoms? Stay home. You have every right to.
100% this. The only time you should wear a fucking face mask is if you're contagious even then we went periods of time with swine flu (h1n1) and regular influenza every year without freaking out and advising masks. If you cough, cough in your sleeve. If you sneeze, sneeze in your sleeve. Wash your fucking hands and you're fine. This whole mask wearing is completely bullshit.
