Multiple countries, now. They have the big plant in the Bay Area, but they have components being made in the Netherlands and China. Two new massive factories are being built in Germany and Texas.

Pretty sure American owned Tesla’s are American made.

IIRC I believe Musk said Asian plant sells to Asia.

I wasn't saying they weren't, I was just saying they're manufacturing the cars all over the world now.

I recall that Model Y is going to be mostly made in China, but I don't remember for sure - but that's not the point I was making.

I'm not sure. I think they are assembled in america. Used to be a plant in cali right? Ok musky is packing up and taking his toys to Texas last I heard.

The Fremont plant isn't closing, that I've heard. He's building a gigafactory in Texas for eastern car shipments. He was threatening to move the HQ there and shut down Fremont when they forced him to shut down for Covid, but he reopened since then, and I haven't heard any more talk of shutting Fremont down.
