In California, it actually worked the other way. Air machines used to charge you, then they passed a law that said it had to be free. What they didn't consider is private vendors own those machines. They were now being forced to give away their product for free, but still maintain the machines. Drove my father-in-law out of business

Just saw My local gas station has a air/vac system $2.00 for 5 minutes of air or vacuum.
I don't have a problem with now. I am living high on the hog.
Several gas stations in my area still give Free Air.
