Idk about the guy who said that, but when most of us say Covid is fake, what we mean is that the panic is fake. Covid is as real as the flu, but it’s as fake as the BLM hysteria.
Look at his replies. He's saying it is literally fake, that it doesn't exist and is disputing anyone died from it. Referring to all those who died as "fat diabetics who got a cold and died", so I think u/Barrysstash is absolutely right to be pissed off at him.
Right, but the guy who made the original comment in this chain wasn't arguing this. He was also being very disrespectful to people who lost loved ones to this virus. Just all around being an asshole, and I was saying that they have every right to be pissed off at him.
Sorry for your loss. My previously-healthy father-in-law is about the same age as your dad and has been hospitalized and/or in a nursing-home for almost a year now after getting Covid early on. This disease didn't kill him (yet) but has absolutely destroyed his life.
Had 7 relatives get it, one died. They all were fully symptomatic. I am so sorry for your loss. 2020 really sucked and we had another loss in the family too (non-Covid).
I personally know six people who have died of (or with) COVID. I was damn near the seventh myself. Truly did not expect to make it out of hospital alive, and not only was expecting to die, I was looking forward to it, because it hurt so damn much to breathe.
It’s not fake.
In December I lost my father to it. 79 years old based Navy Captain in great shape for his age.
It absolutely is real and fuck anyone who says it’s not. I mean just really fuck you for even saying it.

There is something to be said for comorbid conditions. Is it real? Yes. Is survival rate 99% Yes. It can be both arguments at same time

God had other plans for me, and I'm still here.
