It was an easy thing (though not politically thanks to the TV-news-watching lemmings) to remove the government mandate, because it doesn't really change anything with regard to the "social expectations".

Where I live, it's the businesses that are enforcing the mask mandate not the government (police). (Likely because of insurance companies?). So to go to work, buy things, all the businesses appear to require a mask.
