Perhaps the saddest thing is that the Dr. Seuss publisher is willingly doing it to themselves. The same thing Disney did with Song of the South.

Maybe they're playing the long game. Think about it. They pull production of these books for years. They let the demand build. Then they re-release them several years later to record sales.

I'd like to see people challenge these fuckers by publishing these books and movies anyways. Simply point out the demand is there. The current rights owners aren't doing anything with them. And they're old enough to be part of the public domain anyways. Could be an interesting court battle that forces the hand.

There's really only a few people who own all the publishers.

They controlled publishing after banking, as it was a path to disseminate information.

Then they moved onto media.

Then they moved onto the internet, [[[Twitter]]], [[[Youtube]]], [[[Facebook]]], [[[Google]]].
