They aren't supporting the removal of the mandate, they are supporting not naming the shops who will force you to wear a mask in their business and they don't want backlash on the shops who are following "best practices". Got to watch how they word shit. They speak like defamation lawyers.
This is akin to stores labeling products from black-owned business with the appropriate designation. Many people may well select those products preferentially, but many will do the opposite. So, there could be a fair amount of irony there.

They say that as if there aren't legitimate authorities saying masks don't do shit. So what they mean is that everyone they are willing to listen to, which negates any form of fabricated consensus they are trying to convey. They think they are so damn smart but really they are stupid and irrational. Their logic can be used to justify anything they want. "Best Practices" should have provable effect to justify doing so but every study or authority that says what they don't want to believe is tossed aside.
