The states did certify the elections. Courts, state executive branches, and state legislatures screwed the pooch.

According to Robert Barnes, congress has indeed recognized alternate slates of electors on partisan grounds a few times historically. They wouldn't have had the votes to do it this time.
I get the principle about not overturning state's certified elections. But what about the principle of not allowing states to conspire and overturn the will of the people? The communist left does not have principles, or at least their principles are diametrically opposed to a free America. Sometimes our principles must be constrained in order to preserve them.
