It's pathetic how many on "our side" missed this simple fact while strapping on their mask in the parking lot prior to entering a store because they're afraid someone might say something mean to them.

The crazies are out. So sometimes people put the mask on so they don't get attacked by them.
There are a huge number of programmed, hysterical people who are China Virus nutjobs, ready to shriek at or attack someone they consider not being "Covid Safe".
Saw one a week ago. Sunshiny day, nobody around, the weird pedestrian was not only wearing a mask but making ten foot detours around any other person on the street.
Even worse than that, the brainwashed teenagers in stores who think that someone without a mask is worse than a mass-murderer, and they get filled with rage when they see someone walking without into the store without a mask. These brainwashed people don't think twice about smoking cigarettes on their breaks, outside the front door of the store.
in the parking lot
Have never, ever seen such a mess as what happens now.
Every carpark, covered in masks.
Even hospital carparks, masks everywhere.
Everyone panicking and wearing masks, saying how dangerous the China virus is, but then they try to spread that virus by leaving their masks on the ground where everyone else goes by, instead of sealing them in plastic containers and then taking them to their local high-temperature incinerator to be disposed of safely.
Yeah, this is exactly my situation. I want to not care and tell people to just F off, but in my former (extremely blue) city, I got screamed at by two men (am female) for coming within 6 feet one in a supermarket (he was blocking an entire aisle) and then for jogging ACROSS THE STREET from one while not wearing a mask. Both scenarios upset me to the point where I stopped wanting to leave my house much. I would go running/walking at night so almost no people were out, because it got tiring having to run so far around each one like an obstacle course.
All my life, I have had strong fear when people start getting belligerent with me, but especially if they are male and I sense that they could really physically hurt me. It's something I would love to be able to overcome, and I've gotten better at standing up for myself when needed, but I tend to pick my battles because even just verbally putting someone in their place can be an exhausting and guilt-ridden action for me and can create fear of future retaliation if I sense the person is irrational. It sucks.

That shows how it is a big scam.
