We have an Alaska oil pipeline. Why don't they have a fresh water line next to it? I had those thoughts back in the 80s when I was in social studies and we were doing current events on that pipeline.
because its a insulated heated pipe. Its elevated with aluminum heat fins. They did not bury the pipe because they did not want to melt the permafrost.
The recent spike is due to gross mismanagement of gulf coast refining facilities during the recent winter storm. A plant tooled to operate when its 105 out will not survive 12 degree weather. Most of them crashed hard and are still in recovery. Source: I work in one... for now.
We've got refineries but nowhere near the oil sands.. LOL...
It would be easier to ship alberta oil down through the dakotas than it would to ship it out towards Montreal.. (remember the Lac Megantique 'disaster' when an oil carrying train derailed a few years ago)..
There is a lot of LNG they want to pump out towards the pacific coast in/around kitsault and further north towards Alaska but who knows whats going to happen. Too many native groups with their fingers in the decision making
my cat does this. she eats her sister's food first then starts on her own. but eats it all too fast and pukes it up. then eats her own puke. she's fat and disgusting.
I too am sick of paying gas prices in access of 100 Gwei just for a simple transaction! I don't see how pipelines will help that, though... instead I would suggest to bring on Etherium 2.0!
Oh.... you're talking about the thing that makes you Car go brrrrrr. Never mind then.
Oil prices have been too low for producers since around 2012, and the majors are hundreds of billions into negative cash flow. Cheap oil is nice, but right now industrial civilization is about to collapse, regardless of who is president.
As the saying goes - hope for the best, plan for the worst. I don't believe we're beyond the tipping point of being able to self-correct, but I'm an optimistic fool.
Decisions like these prove, beyond a shadow of a doubt, our "government" is attempting to destroy us.

Oil doesn't freeze or expand and break the pipeline.

They need a water pipeline from Lake Michigan to the Colorado river basin.
No
I love swimming pools and golf courses but I happen to live in Las Vegas.
Them there lakes is my water paid in full by winter.
Yeah but we want to keep the Great Lakes lakes.
Don’t you have a giant damn and a lake near you in the desert?

They started going up around Christmas. Drastically.
I agree. I’ve seen them jump a dime and a half in the past 10 days though.
What's Canada's excuse?
Our gas has gone up 1$/gallon too..
from ~90cents/litre to ~1.20/litre for those who wants to do the conversion thing
Ask Justin. I’m not keen on Canadian energy policies... or if whether or not Canadians run refineries like goobers... or cheesers. Or whatever. 😬

Is her name Stacy Abrams by chance?
That's gonna leave a mark
Safer transport, less spills, less CO2 emissions in transporting
I saw one station last night at $2.69 in DFW.

You may well be correct.

Technically, collapse is a self-correction haha.
....okay, that's a fair point. Hmm.
Great response.
