I went to this "extended stay america" hotel once in Manchester, CT.
We went into our hotel and the room smelled like curry and onions so bad we literally couldn't stay, not even if we wanted to.
The hotel clerk apologizes, tells us she didn't mean to give us an "indian room, These rooms are exclusively saved for Indians because she said they cannot get the smell out, even after tearing out the curtains. "
She looked pissed off like they just forever lost another Room to indian guests.
I don't know if this is a real thing, but the smell was real AF.
Side note: Apparently foreign Asians claim Americans smell like cheeseburgers and spoiled milk.

Ozone generators. You have to deal with persistent organic odors like you would deal with ridding property of smoke contamination. My wacky state no longer allows consumers to buy their own ozone generators.

This one 3 bedroom apt had Indians living in it, and man it reeked! It was nasty.

If you've ever cooked curry yourself, then you know that the spices in curry are very very pungent. Takes a while for them to clear out, like days.

The British seem to eat curry more than the indians sometimes, but they don't smell like it after. I don't quite get it.
Perhaps they Brits use more forks and spoons to eat, and are less likely to depend on their fingers and naan as cutlery?
