If I didn't have this place to come and regain sanity, I would be in a loony bin right now.
I say let them. And cut them off 100%. Build a wall around it, refuse to trade, anything they want or need they have to come up with on their own. And then enact tariffs on any goods sent in. Cut all the MEP connections and let it become a total barren wasteland. This is a civics lesson waiting to happen. Set a guard, allow people in only with their material possessions. Any large shipments must go through a rigorous port check, taxes and tariffs collected. Let them run a country, it would be amazing to watch.
I'd be down to join a Pleb Ranch Autonomous Zone, but we would get Waco'd for being white.

Not really different from other parts of Austin which has a tent city under every overpass.
I thought there was something similar going on in a little city called Washington, DC
