Very much this. Microsoft defender is all you need for home computers. The only way your computer becomes infected at this point is if you do something stupid.

Or Windows 10 is the worst spyware software of all time, by a fucking light year, and Linux is the only good OS right now....

Literally nothing invades privacy more than Windows 10. Nothing.

If you don't do anything risky then you don't even need Microsoft Defender. They all suck. Who is writing virus software anymore? I haven't used AV software in a decade and haven't had a single problem. Rawdog it.
