How are they “defying” Texas? The governor didn’t ban mask mandates. He lifted the state-imposed one

Yes but it wasn't good enough it seems. Need to do like Idaho wants...ban stores from enforcing mask mandates. Not just stop a mandate at state level. Make it illegal for stores to refuse entry without one.

It’s going be a lesson in economics for those stores. And a bonanza for their no-mask competitors.

Not to mention the scientific study of spread in maskless stores vs mask requirement stores might yield useful empirical data one way or the other.

I don’t even trust studies anymore. Everything is political now. Heck even math is racist.

Liberals always lie. When you start looking at them through the lens of “they are probably lying”, everything starts to make sense.

If you are bored, wear your mask into a Texas Kroger or Target, load the hell out of a shopping cart, leave it there and walk out.

This. The bulk of leftists are morons when they buy into these kinds of stories. Most store will enforce mask rules still in the cities in Texas. AKA Austin, Houston, San Antonio, and Dallas..

What the right has to understand is that the mask where shit works because people feel like they doing something to fight it. This makes it a very powerful form of control..

Humans and Animals are motivated by avoiding discomfort. They are not thinkers..

Kroger isn’t anything to write home about. Starbucks coffee tastes like freeze dried third world dung patties dipped in armpit sweat. And Target sold children’s shirts promoting pedofilia. 3 companies I can certainly live without.

ENVYNITAZ [S] 2 points ago +2 / -0

i don't even own a 'mask'

SpaceTiger 2 points ago +2 / -0

The only one I own is the free Trump mask the campaign mailed out. I keep it as a souvenir of the crazy years. Might frame it.

Of course they will use the "private company, their rules" bullshit. Not true for social media, its not true for box stores either. You don't get to just make rules like that, Target. Not when it affects people who in some places literally can't shop elsewhere

Runebeowulf 3 points ago +3 / -0

Didn't they also say that they wouldn't enforce it against "violent" people for employees safety?

Funny, none of those stores in the headline makes me put one on (Columbia, SC) when I enter. They'll make a request or give me the stink eye but I just kindly refuse.

Been to all of them without the muzzle. Come and make me.

feraxil 2 points ago +2 / -0

Looks like Kroger, Target, and Starbucks are about lose 65% of their Texas customers.

Being private businesses that is their right. My right is not to shop there.

KMacsBinder 2 points ago +2 / -0

Which is how it should have been all along.

They are about to get a lesson.

So Texas basically telling everyone "do whatever you want" and they think they're acting in defiance by doing what they want.
