Not everyone everywhere was treated horribly. Southern parts of Africa were generally better. Also brutal slavery was not new to the continent when Europeans arrived. We judge these past events in an insane manner, assigning blame to people as if anything can be done about it. Idiots acting as if whitey should go back in a time machine and fix it. Even if they did so, Africa would be worse off now. If I had a time machine and could prevent all outside interference in the historical progression of Africa, modern Africans might ask me not to.
