They give you the illusion of choice to keep you a Democrat if you are one, or bring you in if you're a Bernie Baby. Then they rip it away from you and say "well, it's either Hillary, or you're a fascist Nazi who wants Trump"

It's anything but "democratic" and the Democrat Party are not about the "will of the people". They're about telling you what you want.
