It’s officer vs enlisted. Officers are more leftist, the grunts aren’t about Biden from what I understand. The problem is, the policy makers don’t care about the grunts, much less their opinions. From the microcosms I’ve been told about, even a lot of officers are starting to go WTF.
It’s really hard to get a climate of what is going on now that I’m out, but I can guarantee you one thing: IF something like a civil conflict goes hot, the military will likely stay out of it. For leftists, the officers aren’t entirely stupid. Guns, tanks, bombs, whatever, a lot of people tend to forget that there are several generations of veterans that took their oaths to the Constitution very seriously.
“Don’t fuck with a man that got old in a profession in which the good die young,” comes to mind. The real problem to watch out for in the military is this “hunt for extremism.”
