The same question can be also called from the other side; what happens to the rights of those people who are going to say no to the jabs? Are you going to take their choice away by limiting their rights of freedom of movement, choice, etc.?
I respect you want to vaccinate yourself, you have the freedom to do so, but respect me by letting me do my own business, my freedom of choice.
Yes, I'm ok with it. I had to get 11 vaccinations before I could have my green card and US citizenship. It's part of USCIS and there is no opting out. If I have to look out for the health and welfare of others to access rights and freedoms, then so do you. It's called living in a civilized, modern society.
Do you exercise? Do you smoke? Do you do drugs? Do you believe in God? If you care about the wellbeing of others, do you encourage them to exercise regularly, eat healthy, stay away from smoking and drugs, and go to Church?
Do you believe in science? If so, what about natural selection? Those with good genes, good fortune and good resilience will survive by the grace of God. Those who have spent their lives eating McDonalds and chain-smoking, probably not so likely. Which is how it should be.
If a person of weak constitution artificially extends their life-span using a vaccine, someday fate will catch up. How long are we going to cater to the lowest common denominator?
COVID is dangerous because it produces an immune system reaction that is too strong - it's your own immune system attacks your own body and kills you. Not the virus. We have people with strong immune systems who do their best to be healthy (exercise, diet, etc.) die, while obese people with mild immune systems, or cancer patients, have a mild reaction and survive.
If you think being healthy and having a strong immune system will save you, or anyone you love, you're wrong. Survival isn't about having a strong immune system - it's about the functional starting point of your organs, which has to do with age and chronic conditions. In ALL people, young or old, COVID decreases organ function and leaves damage when the inflammatory response happens. The older you are, the more your organs have been used, the more likely you are to have a fatal case. If you're young, yes the heart damage it leaves you with will take 15-20 years off your life, but odds are you will make it. But you're left with progressive heart damage, endothelium damage, etc. so good luck to you then.
Go ahead and take the damage/lifeshortening for yourself, your children and loved ones instead of the vaccine if you think that's a preferable outcome.
