That's why I don't like purity tests. Vote blue no matter who actually works for Dems -- they may still get some defections like Manchin and Sinema, but overall they can get most of their agenda passed.
It's the same way with vote red no matter who - you'll get major boxes checked off, but you won't get everything.
I see a lot of people on here calling to primary Susan Collins in Maine, but it just doesn't make any sense. Maine is thoroughly blue. Collins is the most conservative you're gonna get. Primary her, and you'll get a fucking communist in her place. That's just shooting yourself in the foot. Romney in UT and Murk in AK are different stories tho...they def need to be replaced.
Primary maga candidates where possible, but still vote red in the general, and be sensible about where you primary. I guarantee you if David & Kelly had won, 3/4 of Biden's nominees wouldn't even see the floor of the Senate since Mitch would just block them, and most Dem wishlist legislation would be in the Senate garbage can by now.
The problem with voting red no matter what is that the party has no incentive to change. Voting out people like Collins hurts us in the short term, but helps us in the long term. If no one votes GOP, or donates, to the point where their gravy train is significantly affected, then they will have to change or dissolve. Sometimes trying to hold a position is a losing strategy; sometimes you have to give ground to your enemy to gain a long term strategic advantage.
The right always gets burned when we try to actually use logic and look at what’s really best with candidates and focus on policy and actions.
Then there’s the left “vote blue or matter who”. Useful idiots for damn sure. Fucking lemmings.

Now is not the time for artfully crafting the perfect party - the communist left is in te process of taking total control forever, irreversibly.
If someone is swinging a sword at you, that's not the time to psychoanalyze yourself and try to change your personality for the better.
