Since when do they make you wear a mask in your car going through a drive through? Where?

I had it happen at a KFC here. They didn't offer a mask either. There was a sign saying something like, "For the safety of our workers, please wear a face covering." The guy wasn't opening the window to take my payment. He just pointed at the sign. I didn't have one, so I just moved my scarf up over my face. Then he opened the window. Will NOT go there again.
