So as we all know, the virus has an over 99% survival rate.

I read that soon, Texas will have 6 million people vaccinated and the state population is roughly 29 million.

This comes out to about 20% of the state having been vaccinated, presumably those who are most at-risk having been vaccinated first.

So if <1% of the population is at risk of dying to the disease, 1% of 29 million is 290,000. At 6 million vaccinated in relation to their risk levels, that's over 20 times as many people vaccinated as are presumed to be at risk. And this is using some extremely generous math for the pro-lockdown argument, since 1% is a gross exaggeration of the number of people who are in danger. It's also not counting the presumed natural immunity rates that logically must exist but which we almost never hear about.

As such, although coronavirus may or may not be going away or becoming less deadly (as most such viruses do), we should be well beyond the danger zone by this time right?
