But Trump's lawyers discouraged it and Trump turned it down. Then Bryne and Flynn had speeches planned on the 6th and they were cancelled, that's why the event sucked.
I think Trump knew before he gave the speech that nothing could come of it, but he couldn't cancel it because it would break his own credibility.He ended up playing the Pence card that was lost beforehand.
What we don't know is why he also cancelled those speeches that would talk about fraud.That's the key but it doesn't smell right.
