My parents, sister, and several uncles and aunts are all getting the vaccine or are going to get it shortly. I worry that I'm going to be an orphan by the end of the year.

My mom took the first dose already.... her doctor recommended it because her immune system is gone after radiation treatments last year.

She beat cancer, I hope she can beat this

Survive a vaccine that has a higher death rate than the virus itself? Why not just survive the virus.

Exactly.

She trusted her doctor. It depresses me but what can I do?

All I have is my family and they're hours away. I doubt I'll get to have my own family so I really couldn't handle my mom being a victim of this virus

Nah but it will kill them eventually.

I mean it's like being diagnosed with pancreatic cancer, I suppose. It's only a matter of time.

what an unbelievably horrifying and stupefying time to be alive.

way WORSE than the middle ages. what a nightmare to actual logos, empiricism, chemistry, biology - there's no recovering except in our personal reach.
