I taught a neighbor kid how to manage employees and make some money.

It was Saturday and I had a yard full of dog poop that needed cleaning.

I didn’t have time to clean the yard so I asked the young man if he he would do it for $10. He gladly said yes.

I said you know, if you get your little brother and his friend to help it would get done quicker, in fact you could pay them $2.50 each from the $10 I gave you. You could help manage them and make sure the job is done right.

All three agreed and the job was completed in no time.

Three hours later I get an angry woman at my door, mad that I taught her son how to exploit the other kids.

She took her kids money and divided it equally.

Sad because the kid was excited about asking other neighbors for work and putting his crew to work.

Maybe he’ll still do something but the poor kid looked defeated.

Am I wrong here?
