Long answer. Women are social creatures, part of the strength they bring the family unit and keep the community connected. Social media severed that connection, Church was demonized and severed that connection. So their only "connection" was TV/Internet which is heavily controlled to push a narrative and give a false sense of popularity.
That and basic human nature. Temptation is the easier path of temporary joy. You don't realize the long term effects until it's too late. And to be fair to women, of men were getting sex thrown at them as much as women, they'd be whores too.
