I mean I hate that it was because of George Floyd but man fuck the blue they made there bed. They bent over for BLM, I saw some videos of people getting arrested for wanting freedom and protesting against lockdowns all the while people who protested in BLM got off scott free.

Think of these more like zombies. They don’t get rid of that institution, they merely come back as zombies. The police will always be there.

In my state of Washington, every police agency, except The State Patrol, was a corrupt, incompetent, group of thugs. Now even the State Patrol is just a money machine for the state. This isn’t just hyperbole. I am friends with several cops and they all laugh about the stuff they do and get away with. A lot of groups now know they can commit crimes with little or no consequences. Just let us go back to protecting and defending ourselves and our neighbors. We can call the police to haul away the bodies of the criminals and these will never reoffend.
Again, that is political. If you can do that without ending up like the persecuted McCloskeys, who actually didn't hurt anybody, not even a scratch, that's your politics, good politics. It is all politics.
Many locales don't LET you defend yourself, especially with serious force, or deadly force.
The idea that the cops can solve political impotence is wrong. The courts also can't solve political impotence.

I agree. The leftist judges and prosecutors are the real problem. I live in commie Seattle. Car theft is rampant here. A juvenile can get caught with a stolen car 7 times before she spends one night in jail. No saying how many cars she stole without getting caught. Seattle was building a brand new juvenile prison up on Capitol Hill ( CHAZ land) and antifa burned it down last summer. No arrests. Remember the Feds that Trump sent to Portland? The DoJ is dropping the charges against those arrested. But you shoot a burglar in your house and see what happens.

This is the left's excuse to fill the police with their own political commissars and ensure that the police becomes their enforcers.
I hear your point, and can somewhat agree. But the ramifications are dire. The good police officers are going to quit. We will be left with the worst of the worst and those who will not respect our Rights. They will become Government police, ruled by politicians. This shit is scary.
I just remark that cops have to do what they are told. "Just following orders" isn't an excuse when you actively hurt people. But it is an excuse when you stand there and do nothing, because the politicians have told you to. Getting creative and doing what you want is not available to men under arms. Not in peacetime.
I also remark they were outnumbered by heavily funded and organized mobs. With lots of cameras all over, and a nation full of the idea that the cop is the bad guy.

This is a game, people--open your eyes. They will get rid of "our" corrupt police--and replace them with 100% loyal "community" police. You just have to understand the power of semantics:

When the police allow crimes to be committed and stand down because they are “just following orders”, they deserve to be defunded. They no longer uphold laws and are now just the thugs in charge of enforcing the marching orders of corrupt politicians. You can no longer count on them to protect your rights and you must be prepared to protect them yourself. I don’t support paying for someone who does not have the communities best interest at heart. How many police intervened when Dems were blocking poll watchers and stealing the election? How many police put their life on the line when Antifa and BLM were burning cities down? Now ask yourself how many police show up when a patriot tries to open their gym during a lockdown or simply enter a grocery store without a mask? The police are not your frens. They are government employees and are just pawns that are used as the kings see fit.
