This is why you faggots continue to lose. IDGAF what AOC thinks. 15/hr. minimum wage is needed along with price controls on food and rent. Enough of this bullshit regarding the business owner not taking a hit on profit and rather pass on the price increase to consumers. Why must the business owner’s profits be shielded at all cost? It’s fucking pathetic to see McDonalds still hiring at $8/hr. in 20 fucking 21. No fucking excuses and fuck your unbridled profit taking. And fuck your automation to circumvent paying people a livable wage.

First of all we didn’t lose, Democrats cheated and our representatives were too cowardly to fight back. We have learned our lesson and we are working on replacing them so that it never happens again. Second, you are a complete idiot and have no idea how capitalism works. If you force business owners to pay the employees over what they are able to contribute, owners will just replace those employees with machines (which McDonalds has already done) or the owners will just shut down the business. If there are less businesses operating, supply goes down and prices go up. Same thing with price controls on rent. There will be less people buying rental properties and the ones that do will certainly not upgrade/ maintain them because they can’t charge more so there will be less properties available and the ones that are will be slums. Also, consider what happens when inflation kicks in and the dems increase taxes to 50%, a $15min/wage will net you $7.50 and your buying power will be diminished. I don’t really expect you to grasp this concept and the fact that you are fighting for a government mandated minimum wage probably means that you are one of those who earn it. I would just encourage you to educate yourself and try to provide enough value to your company where they can compensate you with what you think you are worth.
