The rate at which the Federal government is spending money is simply unsustainable. We need a balanced budget amendment.

This latest "emergency" Covid-19 bill is $1.9 trillion, much of which will not be distributed until 2028. We also know that less than 10% of the bill actually went directly to Covid-19.

That’s why we hired Trump. But all we got was four years of pork omnibus spending. One of his true failings.

True. DC is so messed up with the pork barrel spending.

We just got a relief bill that 10% (or less) actually goes to relief.

Congress does horse trading where the Congress all get something and the taxpayer gets left holding the baby.

I don't think there was much he could do. The democrats would havr never allowed reduced spending, and even if he kept vetoing there would have probably been enough republicans voting with the democrats to overthrow the vetoes.
