She claims everyone else failed her son. In her mind, the fault doesn't fall on her shoulders. She believes her son is a victim of the school system. I do think her son is a victim. His biological parents have failed him more than any school system ever could.
This is what fucking kills me about this. Frankly, at this point, I don't give a shit who failed the kid. I care who is going to be the person to step up and say "I can save this kid" and start getting them on the right path.
All the blamestorming in the world doesn't solve a problem. All it takes is one person to say "To let this pass would be a stain on my honor" who is willing to step up and try to salvage a life.
Then the next problem, of the crab bucket, where all those who chose to be blind to the problem seek to tear down the one who tries to solve it, comes into play. That is a story for another day though. Step one: Someone needs to show this kid that they give a shit and think his life is worth something before he is just another chalk outline.
I'm sorry when I was in high school I wasnt a god damn kid and I took responsibility for my grades, athletics, etc. Enough is enough and at some point personal accountability needs to become the main thing being pushed or we're never going to see blacks not drag all of society down with them.

Remember that guy that robbed that store, and got shot by the cashier? Remember how the robbers parents were blaming the cashier for shooting him and said the cashier should have just given him the money? In their mind, he was killed because of the cashier, not cause he was robbing the place.
My ex is a fourth grade teacher in a heavily diverse community. The teachers try really hard to accommodate all children across a very wide bell curve of learning abilities and education level. At the lowest level are the illegal immigrant barely bi-lingual students where English isn't spoken at home.
In Texas, fourth grade is a virtual cutoff point, where if the kid doesn't learn to read and write at grade level, their education is virtually over. I'll never forget her lamenting over these lowest of low kids. There's not a single book at home, and she knows there's no hope in hell of getting the parents involved to change that. But, hey. Let's throw money at it. Let's hire better teachers. Let's spend more on better school and more money to teachers. That will fix it right up!

The problem is that you are never going to find that teacher at his school. This is why we need school choice.

We need more fathers around. The reward system for single motherhood needs to be broken.
It’s not just a urban or racial issue either. The 2020 ‘summer of love’ is an example why 70%+ single motherhood doesn’t work.
