By her own account she took ZERO interest in her son for at least 4 years.

Statistically, she almost certainly voted Democrat. The entire Baltimore city council is Democrat. The city hasnt had a Republican mayor in 77 years. The mom will statistically almost certainly continue to vote Democrat. Again, I reiterate.
