How sad for this mother. The school is to blame for pushing him from grade to grade without giving him a foundation on which to build. You can hear her anguish the he feels like a failure.
Build a house without a solid foundation, and you will have huge problems down the road.
There is not systemic racism in America—there is systemic failure by the Education system to give children a foundation on which to build and it is happening primarily in Black neighborhoods run by Democrats. It has nothing to do with white privilege.
She's at fault here too. Apples never fall far from the tree. And her, shall we say tenuous grasp of English makes it clear that she is a large part of the problem.
There is no such thing as generational poverty. Only generational stupidity.
Oh, and never capitalize black, unless it's at the beginning of the sentence. It is not a proper noun. The mere fact that you did that put me very close to reporting you as a shill.
My best friend is black and he is one of the most well spoken and educated people I've ever met. He went to school in the city and realized at a young age that he wasn't getting a good education, so he started going to the library and teaching himself. The Knowledge Bug bit him and he quickly became the top student in his class and it stayed that way through his entire education. Now he has a lovely family and he is passing on the importance of education and speech to his children. If he hears them speak incorrectly, it's an immediate correction and they have to repeat the sentence with proper English. Also, he's doing everything he can to teach his kids that police are there for good, to help. It's a beautiful thing and far more parents should do this, all colors and backgrounds.

That's awesome.
