I was on the "temp mod" team until I decided to leave just a few weeks ago. First of all, I'm not positive that more than 5 old mods are even active or even real. I should have been able to tell which ones are alts or just inactive and I have no clue.. they kept us in a seperate chat room with a handful of the old mods I do know are active and make mod actions. Never spoke to the others once never saw them make mod actions. Something weird is going on. After receiving over 200k in crypto donations which I was against, I was told they were going to make a post explaining what happened and what was going to happen. (One person alone donated 200k in ethereum or whatever) well, they pretty much stopped talking in the chatroom, doggos didn't say anything for a month, and when I asked what happened with those donations I got radio silence. I left the chat room a day later and left the mod team.
Does anyone remember that someone (I think it was doggos) said in a sticky right before the domain change, that *if *something happens on this site that causes us all to have to re input our user name and password all over again, that such would have indicated that something bad has happened and not to come back? Shortly thereafter the domain change took place. I was trepidations about coming on here or posting after that. It was seeing familiar mods names in posts which gave me enough confidence to come back.
He said specifically, if you have to re-input the login and it accepts a bad password.
If the site changes hands, they likely won't have access to the original account data, so the way they would handle that is by accepting whatever your initial login is, assuming you provided the right password.
So the test is to enter the wrong password first and make sure it rejects it.
This did not happen at the domain switch, and incorrect passwords were rejected, which means the user account data was intact, which means unless "they" raided and obtained the servers that had all that data, the site has not been compromised.
At the time they had a reasonable explanation as to what happened (as far as I understood it). But if it really was infiltrated, that's probably how it would go down.. Not something obvious
I'm OK with them getting some pay. There is a great site here, and they should be compensated. There are no ads, no nothing. It's fantastic. I do want these people to get paid.
BUT, their payments cannot and must not compromise their decisions for this site. That is, "we'll pay you 200,000, but you must make sure any post containing 'pelosi' does not show up on the the main page" or whatever....
Always. That's how you separate the good guys from the bad guys. I don't trust anyone who will sell out for money, and sure as hell don't ask me to piss on you if you are on fire. I'd rather just watch you burn.
Yeah, anyone got a heads up? Pedes are wanting to know what's up with our OG Doggos

200k donation? Wtf if true.
Just checked some of the mod post history. Very weird amount of silence. Maybe this place has been a honeypot since the domain changed
As stated on gab, whole internet is a fucking honeypot. Shitpost or not, it’s up to you
It's not, we're really just here to maga
This possibility has been on my mind since the day it changed.

Have we been 🍯potted?

Login still worked, it is/was the same back end.
Fuck. It's always about the money.

Get paid... but don't get faggy.
This right here is a basic tenant of interneting. Get paid, but don’t get faggy
Pede wisdom for the history books
Don't get faggy is key here. We've got something great going for once and got to keep it going/improving.
