They both said how they didn't know much about it but that it had weird traditions and stuff. They said the loved the current pope and that he was a "rare gem". They said the Catholic church should allow gays and women to become priests. They said it was unfair and inhuman to "force" priests to remain celibate.
Imagine knowing you know nothing about a religion and then deciding you have a right to judge it. Absolutely absurd.
Bishop Sheen said, “There are not over a hundred people in the United States who hate the Catholic Church. There are millions, however, who hate what they wrongly believe to be the Catholic Church — which is, of course, quite a different thing.”
