Leftism is a religion. People believe in it because it produces warm, fuzzy feelings inside, not because of rational reflection or scientific evidence. I mean, I've tried going through every alternative in my mind. If becoming a leftist worked out better for me then I would be a leftist. I tried being a leftist for most of my life and then finally just gave it up entirely because nothing out of the ideology actually helped me. I just found the ideology instead did everything it could to hurt me and the more I pursued it, the less I was ever able to truly attain anything I desired in life.
To me, what others were saying simply mattered less. I instead just went with how I felt. Leftism was hurting me and the more "right-wing" thinking that the left sees as brainwashing/propaganda/indoctrination at least had the potential to help me.
I always pose the same question to leftists. How will your ideology help me? I explain to them what I want out of life and their ideology is never able to give me what I want. They tend to say what I want out of life is "wrong". That's fine for them to think that but understand then that I'm not being indoctrinated or brainwashed. I am literally choosing what I know will work better for me.
The question leftists have to ask themselves is whether their ideology is actually working for them. Most leftists are entirely unhappy with their life and constantly are finding new problems to fight against and despite their continued "progression" toward their ideal, things are getting worse for everyone, not better, so when do leftists start to question the direction they're on?
They think they're doing the "greater good" which means if they're unhappy or their life sucks at least they're wearing their masks, eating less meat, and calling themselves racists.
