I got put on those ADHD meds as a kid. Ruined me. I almost killed myself in college cause I felt so empty inside.

Flash forward, I just last week celebrated 2 years of being off meds (that's how long it takes for most psychiatric drugs to fully work their way out of your system and for your brain to recover) after 18 years of taking them.

Feels good man

It's an incredible feeling to be free of those mental chains that you used to carry with you everyday.

I know you didn't ask but I'll be praying for you.

Hardest problem is my appetite I seem to never be full. I always want to be eating and snacking ever since I quit

I had the same problem. I gained like 30 pounds over the first year and I have always been super skinny. I was constantly eating, snacking, anything in sight. I started doing all kinds of diet and exercise and nothing would help me shed the weight, instead I just got more hungry. Only in the last probably 4 months have a started to shed some pounds

The worst part of the recovery though was that I had to get hormone treatments about a year in cause my testosterone levels dropped like mad (current theory it was a combination of the withdrawal and weight gain). I was sleeping all the time and groggy all the rest and I had no motivation for anything it sucked
