I am a mild alcoholic, I drink half a bottle once every other week. You're not doing any good for your fellow constituents by drinking yourself into a blur. Find fellow pedes in your area and push the local politics, PTA etc. Use the life you have and save your liver. If Mike Lyndell could get off cocaine and run a pillow empire, you can make a difference. Toss the bottle, get your wife back and move on. Else you won't wake up one day from this. Your choice.
I enjoy drinking and it helps numb the pain. But you are probably right. It’s just frustrating when you see your country being stolen. I’ll try to drink less and hopefully I can start putting the energy towards being proactive in the conservative movement

Find a hobby. You'd be surprised how much time drinking takes away from doing fun stuff.
