This is what happens when you disarm the population. A few dead motherfuckers on the subway shot by law abiding citizens just trying to move about the city minding their own business would make most people who already act less white, to act a little more white, you know, not be a criminal.

This isn't anything like I expected. The attacker is 56 years old. (Technically she's either old enough to be a baby boomer, or had her 56th birthday this year and missed the cutoff by very little)
Neither does this say there was any issue over masks. The assailant was masked? Just an unbelievable jerk, criminal, etc.

Instead of complying, an irate Galarza stomped on the mother’s foot, punched the 2-year-old boy several times in the face, then ran off when the train entered the station.
That's not even an argument, that's just "please social distance" and then the woman and her child getting assaulted.
The mom might have been obnoxious but that doesn't give someone an excuse to take it out on a toddler. An adult fighting an adult is one thing...but attacking a defenseless baby is evil.
How about don’t tell people what to do like your baby is the center of the universe. Stay off the train if you’re so worried. Saying please means nothing. She learned a hard lesson. The actions of others is predictable when you boss them around. Especially when the crazies are out in full force.
That being said, I’m pretty sure I woulda been sent to jail for my response to seeing a child struck in this manner.
What the fuck is your problem? It was a simple request to please keep some distance, there is zero excuse for her and her child being attacked. That's not how people in a civilized society act.
She has no right to make that request considering the circumstances. It’s an enclosed space and the right thing to do is get up and move as opposed to dictating where people should be based on her own selfishness.
If she wasn’t so scared of the boogie man she may not have displayed her sense of privilege by using the proximity of others to her child. She’s in public, but decided to try and run the show. That was a mistake and precipitated the ridiculous reaction of the crazy woman.
The real problem is this woman doesn’t grasp that you don’t get to tell people what to do and pretend the word ‘please’ makes it all good. That’s like starting out a sentence with, “no offense, but...”
