I still haven’t even met someone who actually got sick. Several positive tests but never met anyone with symptoms.

I personally got it back in Feb 2020. It was a cold, except had pain behind the eyes and no taste for like 4-5 days, and the cough was more painful than other colds I've had in the past.

But I'm also only in my late 20s, so I had it easy. I literally went snowshoeing and hiking with it. Didn't stop working(which, if we thought covid had left Wuhan, I probably would have).

But the messed up part - out of my girlfriend, her parents, her sister, and my boss - all of whom I was too close to not have given them a "super deadly virus" - my girlfriends mother was the only one who had anything, and it was a 2 day cough.
Some bioweapon that is. /s

Yeah kinda the same here, my husband brought it home (housewife/stay home ma) he thought he had a little cold, he just felt a little tired and had a cough but was fine, then when I finally got it I just had a fever for the first day and then I lost taste for like 5days but for the first three days I was just tired like a normal cold also but it was weak AF I was still able to make dinner and clean etc -except for the first day- and I got better really quick, (in my mid 20s -husbands in his late 30s) the kids were fine. Also got it in February. The tasting thing was super weird for me, because I made a stew and I couldn’t taste it had had to have my husband keep tasting for the spices I was putting in it. it just felt like mush in my mouth it was super weird lol I couldn’t even taste spicy stuff(tried super spicy stuff and nada)

My aunt and uncle just got very sick. After taking the Moderna vaccine. They have been fine all year, but after their second dose of vaccine they both became extremely ill. My uncle said never again will he ever take a vaccine.

My parents took it and are okay so far (they are Branch Covidians despite my pleas to sway them) and my in-laws are about to take their first shot on Monday, despite our pleas for them not to. My wife met somebody at the park today whose relative had a heart attack and died the day after they took a vaccine. It’s very sad and scary the old folks are so fearful, they would rather risk vaccine injury, then risk getting Covid. And In they end they are still susceptible to Covid.

I advised my mom to hold off awhile. Fortunately, MN is not the easiest place to get a vaccine, so I doubt she will even be eligible for months.

I am not sure about the Moderna option. Maybe the JNJ option will be better.

I've known some now. 1 person was severely ill but is back to work. Pretty much everyone compared it to the flu but different.

Apparently the symptoms are similar to the flu but it's just not the same. From what they've all told me, extreme fatigue and aches were the most bothersome and half of em temporarily lost taste and smell.

They all said they were fine after 3 days, the second the fever broke they were OK.

I'd say at least 75% of our positive tests had ZERO symptoms and from the way it spread through our shift I'm pretty confident most or all were legit positives.

All of this said, only our reactions and policies are any different than flu season. How many flu seasons actually have a heavy influence by a bad coronavirus like this? I mean, I've been diagnosed with flu 3 times in 10 years and haven't been tested for flu since I had H1N1 in 2009.

I’ve never had the Flu (mid 20s) but FUCK H1N1, that one sucked. I had a 102 fever for 3 days with that shit. Covered myself in ice bags for 2 days of it because nothing was bringing it down

I know 3 people who got sick and were quite sure it was rona (symptoms, antibody, and PCR tests all match).

One got a minor cold with loss of taste for a few days. Two got minor pneumonia for 2 weeks.

that's it. i.e. no different than a flu. (of which I've lost taste and some smell twice during childhood)

The only people I know who got any symptoms at all were people who got vaccinated. Fever, chills, nausea, light-headedness, shakes.

One went to the hospital and the other had to stay home from work.
