Yeah, blood pooled in the carpet, saturated and soaked thru the padding underneath and down into the subflooring. It was called into the police immediately because everyone was home, but by the time the scene is released by investigators to be cleaned up hours passed and it soaked through everything. Shame, he was such a nice guy, not the kind of guy you'd think would do it but he started loosing his mind and his demeanor changed after a stroke.
