"Are you not aware of his corrupt and checkered past where he has been know for decades as a cheat, a fraud, and a disgraceful person --- he has been involved in over 3,500 lawsuits.... think about that."
How would you respond to this?
I quick google search says: Of the 3,500 suits, Trump or one of his companies were plaintiffs in 1,900; defendants in 1,450; and bankruptcy, third party, or other in 150. Trump was named in at least 169 suits in federal court.
Most people who win the lottery are broke within the first year or two, which undermines the outrage that Trump was given a loan by his father. He didn't become a billionaire because of white privilege, he became a billionaire because he was smart and responsible with his with money. If getting that kind of return was as easy as the commies think then everyone with a thousand bucks would become a millionaire.
Also, consider a bankruptcy filing is not the same as being a business failure. You can file personal bankruptcy while your companies are doing just fine. It's one of the perks of running businesses as corporations instead of solely under your own name because they're not tied to you.
And for business bankruptcies; Edison isn't considered a failure because he failed at inventing the lightbulb 100 times. He's considered a success because he figured out how to do it right once. Not all businesses are going to be successful. In fact, the majority of business ventures are not successful. It doesn't matter who you are, you're never going to bat 1.00, or even .500.
You are absolutely correct
