In his CPAC speech, Dan Bongino said he would be happy to help start a bank if necessary.

124
NoFucks2Give 124 points ago +129 / -5

Ummmmm......not to be the guy who rains on the parade, but a Bongino Bank would ALSO ban GAB from applying for loans.

Bongino: OPTICS IS THE NAME OF THE GAME.

And GAB has freedom of speech meaning unsavory people might have accounts there, so Muh Optics dictates that GAB must be discriminated against so we are not stained by such unsavory people.

22
evolenmity 22 points ago +24 / -2

I don't understand the hate for Bongino....... why would he ban Gab?

53
ontothefuture 53 points ago +57 / -4

He’s invested in Parler.

21
evolenmity 21 points ago +28 / -7

So what? Have you watched his show? He promoted GAB.

I have huge respect for Torba. I want to contribute as well one day. He is right about Christians needing to build the next world ourselves from scratch. This one is going to hell.

Edit. Mwah we have a Tuck Cuck downvoting all the anti Cucker posts.

Fucker had Ted Kennedy's son on tonight to tell us how bad muh weed is...

Hannity had a parade of RINOs on this week.

11

Tucker had his day, but he cucked out too many times, especially when it really counted. He's like Mittens Romney - all talk and backstabber when it matters.

I used to like Tucker a lot - Not anymore.

22
Nancypelosisoldliver 22 points ago +24 / -2

Eh I don't trust him. You're getting to caught up with what he says and not what he does. I'm pretty sure parker started becoming filled with censorship from what I hear. They all like to pretend they're not facists but parker will for sure ban you if they face enough pressure from people who dont like you I'm fairly certain.

Bongino talks a big talk. Just like trey gowdy. All talk, almost no action. I don't trust bongino even more considering how much he's in the back pocket of fox news who we all know is closer friends with cnn than they are free americans. Bongino honestly gives me corrupt cia vibes. I don't trust him, keep in mind I don't trust anyone though. Only man I trust at all is Jesus. I could be wrong about bingino, but these days I honestly think you don't even get invited on fox or cnn unless you're either a pedophile deepstate scum or s brain damaged retard they bring on in a bad attempt to justify their narrative lmao

9
SellTheSun 9 points ago +11 / -2

Bongino does indeed have based content on his shows, and it's in order to gain our trust so he can slam us with bullshit like Parler.

With the Parler fiasco, Bongoni is either complicit or incompetent - and he's not a dumb guy.

I explained it. For him, OPTICS is numero uno in how we conduct ourselves.

GAB probably does have a couple neo-nazis with accounts and GAB is not going to ban them. Good for GAB. Block the accounts you do not want to hear from or see. it’s called being an adult.

But that is not good enough for the Bongino types. Having a neo-Nazi on your social media platform is anathema to Bongino. And if he gave a loan to GAB he trembles with concern that some fag leftists will associate him to those neo-nazis because of muh Optics.....they can smear him.

Dan seems to forget that they ALREADY call us nazis. If we give a Nazi his freedom of speech where adults with free will can block him (or NOT block him), well then we are nazis....rather than protectors of the First Amendment.

Bongino has fallen for the leftist SJW trap of being a slave to their optics tyranny.

6
krzyzowiec 6 points ago +6 / -0

I have noticed there is a split on the Conservative side between people who are looking at creating the world they want to see long term, and those who are looking to win victories in the short term. The optics people, as you say.

It seems pointless to me to play the optics game because you will never have it as good as the ones who control the media do. Better to say forget the narrative and do the right thing as you see it, but I can understand the temptation.

4
endthefed11 4 points ago +4 / -0

Optics can suck big Mike's schlock.

3
FormerBaltimoreRes 3 points ago +3 / -0

I think you get it more than most anybody. Optics is primarily determined by the media coverage, I’ve seen really good people smeared by the media who did their best to do everything right. Until you control the media, Caring about optics is a losing game.

Take a look at the other side, they could riot, insult america, openly embrace communism, sniff childrens hair, it didnt matter, media covered for them. Optics doesnt matter, controlling discourse does.

1
Poobin420 1 point ago +1 / -0

Exactly this. Dan is putting his money where his mouth is, and is actually trying to do something to help the movement.

Meanwhile, the only thing his haters have accomplished is whining on internet forums. Luckily, because what I REALLY feel they are trying to do is devide the community by attacking fellow Patriots.

I trust Dan more than the randoms on this site.

P.s. I like both Dan and Torba. Gasp! Impossible!

It's Trump who should buy a bank. It's deposit base would triple within 6 months.

14

I would sign up for Trump bank tomorrow. Just make sure the card is gold.

2
DonJr2024 2 points ago +2 / -0

I really think it has to be done. B of A just gave away debit/credit info on people who were at the capital. Big Tech has long since shown they will take away services from conservatives. Banking will be the final blow and with no social media and no banking ability, conservatives will be 100% wiped out.

4
Warbeard 4 points ago +4 / -0

I'd be afraid to put my money in a Gab bank. I don't understand how banks work and I don't know what kind of underhanded tactics the government and other bad actors can use to destroy a Gab bank. I think Trump is too mainstream for those tactics to be used against a Trump bank. There would be a huge public outcry against it. I wouldn't hesitate to put my money in a Trump bank.

Shit like this is why I have lost faith in America, this is the type of shit that happens in 3rd world countries and places like China.

37
Anaconda 37 points ago +39 / -2

China is a 3rd world country

16
LibertyPrimeWasRight 16 points ago +16 / -0

Nah, I wouldn't agree. There are basically two definitions to third-world nation: the modern, which is "poorly developed/negligible on the world stage and rife with governmental abuses or general lawlessness," and the original, which is "aligned with neither the USSR nor the US."

China has the government abuses part of the modern definition down, but they're far too notable for the other qualification. And by the original, they'd be second-world.

16
SellTheSun 16 points ago +16 / -0

The vast majority of China is 3rd world. Sure they have a few 1st world cities/areas but most of the population live outside of those areas.

7
Noadhominem 7 points ago +7 / -0

Have you been to chin lately? They live in the freaking future and we are stuck in the 80s! Check out our airports, post offices, roads, and schools. They are garbage built decades ago and not updated. Outside of a few new hot areas in our major cities we are way behind the curve relative to booming Asian cities. China has dozens of cities with millions of people living like the Jetsons compared to us.... all because they understand how to manipulate their currency better than we do. They out-scammed the scammers. But flash forward 50 years and crypto will rule us all anyway. No more central banks!

9
SellTheSun 9 points ago +9 / -0

I've been a few times for business, not lately of course. It doesn't seem like you disagree with what I said, there are a few cities that are nice but the country as a whole has a lot of catching up to do.

The CCP is very sensitive about their global image, the only parts of China you will see on TV are the parts that they want you to see.

Look up Bernard von Nothaus and see what happened to him and his mints and his currency. Also, look up the nameless list of heroic patriots who have gone down into the silent past, of the 20th century, who attempted to make their own banks and ran afoul of the FED. It should be illegal for banks that operate federally to not do business with Citizens. At this point, banks are not private, considering that most of the big ones were bailed out by the American people.

1
wiombims 1 point ago +1 / -0

I could be wrong here, maybe some can correct me, but the big banks should have bigger insurance on your money. Some of the little credit unions might only be insured for 50-100k of your money. It's not a small reason to do business with them for some people. I guess it's not a big deal if the economy crashes and you're not legally allowed to withdraw more than 100k if you own one shoe and a couple nickels in your savings account.

2
MoldyLocksNesMonste 2 points ago +2 / -0

25
KAG4EVRodysseus11 25 points ago +26 / -1

Its actually not that tough to launch your own bank. Only takes $100k in capital, and of course all the set up and organizational costs would be triple that, but it can all be floated by investors.

I looked into it once and was astonished at how easy and relatively cheap it was to stand up an actual bank that is part of the FDIC

12
LibertyPrimeWasRight 12 points ago +12 / -0

Assuming, of course, that the bureaucrats don't manage to throw up barriers to any conservative applying.

10
KAG4EVRodysseus11 10 points ago +10 / -0

4

6
Sargentpilcher 6 points ago +6 / -0

8
KAG4EVRodysseus11 8 points ago +8 / -0

I am assuming GAB would want to buy or stand up a "compliant" Federal Reserve System bank. Why would they not. Then they can operate just as anyother bank, can have depositors, most importantly have access to the Fed discount window for endless borrowing, on and on.

Yea, it s a ton of regulatory red tape BS too, but my point was that it can be done.

1
Sargentpilcher 1 point ago +1 / -0

Why not a 19th century bank? A fucking vault in a brick building, highly selective loan system etc.

If we want a based society with based values we need everything built from the ground up and in our hands only. And then we need to patronize these based businesses with loyalty, and the businesses in turn need to be trustworthy and not gouge. Owned by godly men.

We could learn from the Amish. Really we should become second wave Amish, but instead with 20th century values at the height of American traditions and ideals. The America taught by civics classes. It was never real, but we could make it real.

We must become clannish, tribal. And to shun the goddamn Marxists!

2
FormerBaltimoreRes 2 points ago +2 / -0

Do you want a real answer? Regulators could easily crush a start up bank like that. A bank that is barely making money because it is swimming up river could be driven out of business by audits.

There are investment organizations that operate like old-school banks, they are called private lenders. The issue becomes transferring money aka payment processing. For the lender to truly make a difference they will need to have a card that could somehow be used to purchase goods and services. But of course if they get too big and too open, then organized government resistance can shut them down.

If you want to truly step out of the system: cash, bitcoin, gold and diamonds. Mexicans in America have been living on the cash system for quite some time. In the room, under the table contracts are handled with diamonds.

The issue isn’t the alternatives, those already exist, the issue is scaling them up to the point they can be used by the regular person.

1
UndeadRevolver 1 point ago +1 / -0

Wow that's interesting info, thanks. Any place I can learn more?

We all know who owns the banks and who is pulling the strings here. The mods won't let me say it but it's true. These certain people that the mods don't want me to talk about want us helpless and defenseless. They don't want us to have a free society. The people that the mods protect are waging a war on our culture. A certain German Chancellor that the mods don't want me to talk about did this same thing and the entire world went to war with them. On top of that an 80-year disinformation campaign that using modern methods is easily debunked.

If Torba starts his own bank, that's unfortunately his ending. Do not fuck with the banks or the people who own the banks that the mods don't want us to talk about.

I am getting upset at Andrew that he WONT NAME THE DAMNED BANKS.

I'm not the only one, either, about 3/4 of the people replying to his Gab are saying the same thing.

NAME THE BANKS, ANDREW, OR STOP BITCHING.

When my mother was widowed, women were not allowed by the auto manufacturers to take over their husband's dealerships. My mother was the 4th woman in the country to beat that. A dear friend who owned 2 manufacturing facilities and had flown my father back and forth for cancer treatment also owned a small bank. When my mother (who was made to meet with a room full of execs on a Friday night at 9:00 pm) walked in with her entourage he was there. He said nothing until she had answered all their objections and then they said, "The only problem is that no bank will finance you because you are a women." He spoke up and said, "That isn't a problem." They said "Who are you?" He said, "I am a bank." Sorry, this story just brought that to mind. I hope they get financed.

Just imagine if the Trumps started a bank... the Left would meltdown. It would be under constant attack, the website and the buildings, and the patrons targeted. But, serious question Pedes: Would it be possible to start a cryptocurrency bank, if the Trumps wanted to do so? The FDIC approval and regulation applies if you want the money insured by the government, but what if you don't want government oversight?

I don't believe it's legal to not be FDIC insured, although I'm not certain.

The game of the banksters is to engineer economic collapse and currency shortages in order to convince the government to give them special legal privileges "to avoid economic instability." They are a mob who threatens economic collapse just like a mafia member walks into a shop and tells the owner he should purchase security so nothing bad happens. They are an organized crime syndicate. They have been doing this for hundreds of years, and now it is institutionalized as the FED system and member banks.

Don't tell me if they've done something wrong, but I just got a 5/3 Account a year or two ago.

Still need to fully close my Chase one, but I've kept $50 there to keep it open just in case.

Pretty sure 5/3 was one of the several banks that ordered transactions to maximize fees and was fined/sued for it. Wells Fargo being an obvious other one.

Tell him to go to a Swiss bank.

How do they know what bank he uses? Why not just use a local credit union?

Are toll roads going to start banning drivers based on their political opinions? I just want to be prepared the next time I'm driving. ;)
