If we want a based society with based values we need everything built from the ground up and in our hands only. And then we need to patronize these based businesses with loyalty, and the businesses in turn need to be trustworthy and not gouge. Owned by godly men.

Do you want a real answer? Regulators could easily crush a start up bank like that. A bank that is barely making money because it is swimming up river could be driven out of business by audits.
There are investment organizations that operate like old-school banks, they are called private lenders. The issue becomes transferring money aka payment processing. For the lender to truly make a difference they will need to have a card that could somehow be used to purchase goods and services. But of course if they get too big and too open, then organized government resistance can shut them down.
If you want to truly step out of the system: cash, bitcoin, gold and diamonds. Mexicans in America have been living on the cash system for quite some time. In the room, under the table contracts are handled with diamonds.
The issue isn’t the alternatives, those already exist, the issue is scaling them up to the point they can be used by the regular person.
