Don't forget the recent winter storm when most of the nation wasn't driving anywhere. Low demand and the price still goes up. Thanks one hell of a lot there Biden & Co. (TM)

They have us right where they want us. Masked, home, cannot afford to go anywhere, and afraid to go anywhere.

I was originally going to argue....but yeah you are correct. I am layed off because this scary nothing of a disease. I refuse to wear a mask...what a rebel I am in the scheme of things.

I refuse to be cowed. Texas' governor has lifted the mask order starting Wednesday. And we shall see how many of the mask preachers will be around. All the big cities are screaming fault and it's fun to watch.

My wife owns her business and as soon as th mask mandate is gone on Wednesday, she will no longer be requiring her workers to wear a mask and will gladly remove the "You must wear a mask" sign from her door.

She is worried people will not want to come in and I straight up told her that no one is stopping them from wearing a mask, and if they insist our workers wear one against their will, then they can take their business elsewhere.

We are so fucking done with this COVID bullshit and want to go back to normal as soon as possible.

I went to my local grocery store yesterday (Thursday) and lo and behold, at least half the people there were not wearing masks. It was quite an epiphany....

It's wonderful in TX starting Wednesday (actually starting sooner but let them have their stupid illusions).

I refuse to be a victim. So can you.

Now if you were to listen to ABC fake news, prices went through the roof because the refineries shut down from the cold. Sure, they did, but the prices were already jacking up at insane rates before they shut down for whatever time it was, one day?

And now OPEC talking about cutting supply. Wonder why they're doing that now 🤣. They're not stupid.

Thats more because refineries and the like shut down in Texas. Probably have some pipeline issues as well.

still doesn't add up. supply goes down but so does demand. Am I missing anything?

Masssssiiiiivvvee money printing. The dollar is worlds reserve currency due to the fact that all oil is traded in dollars. More dollars plus less oil being pumped equals massive price inflation.

From the freeze two weeks ago

When the temperature gets low fuel travels slower along the pipelines and the texas oil refineries slowed production significantly.

OK. No argument here. But the supply/demand equation still does not have prices rising. Supply goes down... sure. But the demand goes down at the same time.

The money supply has been dramatically expanded. More dollars less oil equals higer price, even if demand is flat. Mises.org provides fantastic info on how classical economics works. Or The Creature From Jekell Island

No it doesn’t. If it’s crude the lines are heated. Refined product has zero effect. Used to get 8000 barrels per hour in Phoenix from California pipeline. 2500 per hour from TX because of smaller pipeline and greater distance.
