All day long he still suffers from his aching bones and itchy skin. Alone. His last boyfriend left him when his cancer hit. Didn't want to be tied down to a wrinkled old man with problems.
The sex was no longer a thrill so it didn't come as a surprise. Toys can only bring intimacy so far when there's no physical equipment to work with.
His cat was a good companion but even he disappeared. Hardly a surprise either with the encroaching wildlife and daily violence.
