You know why I'm suspicious of anyone trying to stop the censorship now? They may have decided they would rather know all your private messages than have them somewhere else.

It sure would lessen the workload to collate from single sources rather than all the new stuff like distributed content.

I'd just be cautious that people aren't trying to pull you back in for their own reasons and that if you HAVE found some freedom from those platforms, don't run back so quickly just yet.
