$15 an hour honestly isn’t even that much; you can complete a trade school program and start earning more than that immediately with a good resume and interview skills. There’s so many trades like welding and machining that pay a lot better than food service or retail. My first job fresh out of trade school was $16 an hour even without getting a shift premium.

I spent 8 years getting undergraduate and graduate degrees. After all that, I’m at the point now where I wish I could go back and become a mechanic or a welder. I love working on cars and fabricating.
