Good question. He also appears to have had an arrest record prior to this, since he wasn't willing to go back to prison. Family turned him in after he called them from another phone number. He also appears to have lived in DC at some point. He certainly looked to be an agent provocateur. We'll know when we hear nothing more come from his arrest, similar to Sullivan's (JaydenX).

I'm also interested in the old man. At the scene where he is agitating the crowd, as he first enters, the old man looks at him and says, "I'm one of you, one of them." Who is that old man? And what does he mean?

I think I know who you are talking about. He appeared to fall down at some point, before crowd was allowed in. To me, he seemed agitated by the young agitator and was trying to get him to stop. But who knows and we'll likely never really know.
