Some 20 years ago, Freakonomics found that the average wage of low-level drug dealers works out to about $3.50 per hour, and you can get killed or beat up or imprisoned doing it.
That was 20 years ago and time sure have changed.
Based on today's simple racist math excluding the severely more racist risk reward and root cause analysis.
$3.50 / hr dealing drugs in the street is much better than $0.00 / hr sitting in a prison classroom not paying attention and wishing you were out in the street making money dealing drugs.
