This is sort of my sister in law. They have their daughter in private school (excellent choice btw) that has been open this entire school year. It’s open because the parents (ie the paying customers) were so pissed about it shutting down last April that the school basically didn’t have a choice.

But she goes to work and gets shamed by her coworkers for using her “white privilege” to secure her daughter a better education experience. She helped her workplace organize BLM support last year.

She was absolutely wracked with guilt, until her mom and mine both spent a few months talking sense into her. But she’s also one of these “if it only saves only life!” Covidians, so I think the discomfort over her hypocrisy is a healthy exercise for her.
